"Starlings in Winter" by Mary Oliver
in which I wear no less than three birds in the spirit of seeking flight
When winter temperature feels like spring, you take your poetry onto the front porch:
I want
to think again of dangerous and noble things.
I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,
as though I had wings.
Thanks for sharing this. And what a beautiful photograph of the bird.
I love both Mary Oliver and Starlings <3 What a perfect pairing this is.
