This is so lovely, Rebecca. I’m still thinking about invasives and chronic illness and how the earth adapts but sometimes we cannot. It feels like such a hard place and I’m sorry for that. And that darn Autumn Olive! It is so hard to get rid of.

These things are so difficult, so complex. And we just want to be able to receive nature in its good, good, goodness! You help me do that with your posts and photos, Laura.

Thank you for the audio! My chronic illness is slowly making my eye sight worse, and I really appreciate being able to listen and relax my eyes for a couple minutes. I'm a fellow autistic, with POTS too. My sister directed me to your stack today.

Theresa, I'm sorry you're having to deal with limited eyesight. And sorry about the POTS--but it is nice to find another autism/POTS sister. Our experience in the world is definitely unique, and we can understand each other. Thank you for being here!

Beautiful essay! It’s so sad and frustrating to see a beautiful natural area lose what it once was. On the heat: I don’t have your condition but i can relate to heat sensitivity. I sweat like crazy. It’s gross. If it could be November all year I’d be happy.

CJ, same here!! The yucky sweating. Fall and winter have long been my favorite seasons--they're definitely the most comfortable for me. But how I long to be out in the richness of a deep summer day and not feel--yucky. Glad you're here. :)
