I hate phone calls too, though not as much as you 😊. My phone is set to ring only for my contact list. That list is not long, and there are only two that dare call to just talk. My Mom and my sister, but mostly they wait for me to call them. I got them all trained.

I so relate. I've always found phone calls difficult. I wonder how much of it is because as a neurodivergent, I need more cues to decode social interactions. A disembodied voice isn't enough to orient myself. It's such a gift when I can be around people who don't expect me to talk all the time. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Yes, thanks for sharing this. I have my phone set to Do Not Disturb 24/7. It only rings for family members. I really identified with what you said about anxiety and talk. I can’t talk to people outside the family at all anymore, other than business dealings. If I try to have a normal conversation with anyone else, I can never say more than a sentence or two without saying something I shouldn’t, then embarrassment kicks in and further ramps up my anxiety. I have become a real hermit in the last seven or eight years.
